LIFE & STYLE

Favorite Amazon Prime Day Fashion Finds

It's here! Amazon Prime Day! Today and Tomorrow, July 11 & 12 you will find ALL the things on sale. I've gathered a list of my favorite items, things that I own or have been on my wishlist, for you. The Fashion Finds are definitely capsule wardrobe-esque and can be worn on your summer trip to France or wherever you'd like to feel a little more French.

1. V Neck Spaghetti Strap Jumpsuits Seamless Workout Unitard Rompers - this is a popular romper that could be worn under an oversized white shirt or sweatshirt. Add some Birkenstocks or cute, casual sneakers and you're ready to run errands.

2. Tory Birch Straw Basket Tote - This is an elevated classic that's also super functional. There's nothing I love more than something functional that is beautiful!

3. Birkenstock Arizona Eva - Waterproof and summer ready! I absolutely love these shoes. Fun fact: I wore Birkenstocks last summer while traveling Europe. I walked MILES everyday in these shoes. They held up so well and my feet didn't hurt!

4. Asics Gel Nimbus 24 Running Shoes - I have a pair of these and I can honestly say that they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever run in. I ran a half-marathon in these and they were amazing. I need new shoes and these are the ones I'm going to get!

5. Midi A-Line Dress - I think this dress is incredibly versatile. I can picture it with casual sneakers and with some cute heels. It's made from a flowy cool fabric that is perfect in the summer.

6. Summer Midi Tiered Dress - This is summer in a dress. It's playful and will help keep you cool with it's strappy shoulders.

7. Classic Crewneck T-shirts - A staple in any capsule wardrobe.

8. French Market Basket - A true classic and staple in France. This bag can be seen at the local markets filled with fruits and vegetables and of course, a baguette!

9. Cotton Cable Knit Sweater - I know, I know...a sweater? In summer? Well, you may need it at night or in the early mornings walking to your favorite boulangerie. It's a great layering piece and goes with so many outfits.

10. Poplin Shirt - Every closet should have a white, cotton, button-down shirt. The versatility....

11. Gingham Straight Leg Pants - These adorable gingham pants are a fun alternative to a solid pair.

12. Sandal - These are a great dupe for the classic Hermès Oran sandal. Much more affordable and they look very similar.

13. Midi Button Front Tie Dress - Another versatile, flowy summer dress. Sidenote: French women love to wear red.

14. Linen Pants - These linen/cotton blend pants are cool and comfortable. I think these will make you look "put together" with minimal effort.

15. Smocked Puff Sleeve Shirt - This would look cute dressed up or down. And the detail of the sleeve makes this shirt perfection!

16. Sleeveless Shirt - Flowy and cool, another great addition to a summer capsule wardrobe.

17. Chino's - classic straight leg pants with a little bit of stretch, for comfort.

18. Classic White Sneakers - Just buy them. You won't regret it.

19. Cotton Cable Knit Sweater - Another sweater...in July...I promise, it works.

Favorite Amazon Prime Day Finds

Here are some non-fashion Prime Day finds. Again, this is a list of my favorite items, things that I own or are on my wishlist.

1. Kindle Paperwhite - I don't have this but debate every year whether or not I should purchase it. I LOVE to hold an actual book when I'm reading. I love the feel and smell of them. BUT, I don't have a lot of room in my house for all the books I have. It would be convenient, and much less clutter-y, to have this device. Maybe this is the year I buy it?!

2. Kodak Printomatic - How fun is this instant print camera? I think this would be a great gift or something to take with you on vacation to capture all your memories.

3. Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones - Personally, I think these are the best. I have a pair of these and a pair of Beats. I prefer the Bose. They are more comfortable and really do a great job at cancelling out any noise.

4. Garmin Forerunner Running Smartwatch - I don't have this, but my friend does, and I have to say that this is far superior to my Apple watch. I enjoy running and the Apple watch doesn't have the features I want, specifically for running. Her watch is always the hero when we are on a run together.

5. Nespresso Espresso Machine - I fell in love with this machine and the espresso while traveling through Europe. It's incredibly easy to use and makes the BEST espresso. I haven't had espresso at home as good since that time :(

6. Electric Tea Kettle - Remember when I said I love it when something is functional AND beautiful? Well, this is that.

7. Purina Tidy Cat Litter System - I think everyone should benefit from Prime Day...even my cat, Hattie.

8. La Roche-Posay Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen - Hands down, my favorite sunscreen. Goes on smoothly and doesn't feel greasy. Also, it doesn't "pill". I have another sunscreen that does that, and I always feel like I'm wasting it if I accidentally rub my face and the sunscreen "pills" off.

9. Swiss Arabian Lavali Perfume - This is "TikTok Famous" and while I've never actually smelled this, the description intrigues me.

10. L'oreal Unlimited Mascara - My all-time favorite mascara! I have very sparse, thin lashes. This mascara gives me length and definition without being clumpy or having a bunch of steps to achieve the effect.

11. Youthforia Coloring Changing Blush - Another "TikTok Famous" beauty item. It's supposed to change color and adapt to you, giving you your perfect color blush.

12. Art Deco Coupe Glasses - I've decided that life is too short NOT to drink champagne and celebrate the little things. These glasses would make any occasion into a special one.

13. Marshall Speaker - During my travels, I noticed a few Airbnb's that I stayed in had this speaker. It was easy to use and had a crisp, clear sound. I immediately wanted one!

14. Black and Decker Cordless Handheld Vacuum - I've seen this vacuum all over IG and TT. I watch a lot of cleaning videos, lol. I've seen it so many times, that I'm officially "influenced", lol.

15. Dyson Cordless Stick Vacuum - I have wanted one of these forEVER. We bought a similar one and it lasted maybe a year. I'm ready to invest in something nice that will last longer.

16. Mini Travel Umbrella - Isn't it amazing how small they can make something? This is tiny and will fit easily into your tote bag.

Summer in Paris Capsule Wardrobe

It's here! My summer in Paris (or anywhere, really) Capsule Wardrobe. I had a lot of fun making this. These are items I already own or are on my wish list to purchase. When I spent the summer in Europe last year,  the majority of that time was in France. From that stay, I noticed how French women dressed. Taking that knowledge and adding my own personal style, I have come up with this capsule wardrobe. With these 21 articles of clothing, you'll be able to come up with more than 3 months worth of outfit ideas.

My style, as you can tell, is simple yet timeless. The items of clothing I typically purchase are pieces that will stand the test of time. I tend to purchase quality over quantity and try to save up for my special pieces. With that being said, my style isn't everyones style. You could easily substitute your favorite color palette in place of mine (white, black, navy, ivory) and switch out different cuts of shirts, dresses, pants, etc for ones that are flattering on you.

The one thing I noticed while I was traveling was that everyone was wearing sneakers. Usually white leather, think Veja, Stan Smith, Converse. A few times I would see Birkenstocks or sandals, but very rarely. I spent a lot of my time in Paris and honestly, walking the streets of Paris, hopping on and off of the metro, and all the walking you'll be doing, you will absolutely want a comfortable pair of casual tennis shoes. Personally, I wore my Birkenstocks and a pair of white Vejas.

I also noticed the amount of dresses that women wore. They do not wear shorts, that's mostly in the winter with tights, go figure. Lots of flowy, floral printed dresses. It was a great way to stay cool in the incredible heat that was happening all over Europe last summer.

These were my observations and obviously, if you're traveling to Paris this summer, wear what you love! These are the things I love and the things that I would wear. If you noticed, I did not include any sort of party outfit or super fancy dress as that really isn't my style. I'm pretty casual and dress accordingly.

Now let's get to the clothes!

1. Sézane, Raquel Dress in baby blue. This dress can easily be dressed up or down. It would look great walking through a brocante or going for a picnic in Parc Monceau.

2. ba&sh, Iriz Dress. I love the flowiness, print and color of this dress. It's guaranteed to be a cool option during the hot summer months.

3. Jenni Kayne, Cove Dress. I am in love with this dress. I love the simplicity and loose structure. Throw on a light cardi if the morning/evenings are cooler and you have a perfect summer outfit.

4. Amazon, Linen Blazer. I wore a white linen blazer all last summer. I was perfect when I wanted to look pulled together and it helped out on those chillier mornings.

5. Easy Standard, Ribbed Fitted Racer Tank Bundle. Hands down these are the best tank tops I've owned. They don't lose their shape after washing and they still look like new, even after wearing them on repeat for a year now.

6. J. Crew, Vintage Cotton Crew Neck T-shirt. I love the feel and wear of these t-shirts. They are an absolute staple to have in your closet.

7. Banana Republic, Laurel French Cuff Shirt. Every wardrobe needs a crisp white cotton shirt. BR's take on this classic is elevated and cool for summer.

8. L.L. Bean, Women's Signature Rangeley Cotton Tee Boxy. A striped top is a great addition to your wardrobe.

9. J. Crew, Spring Garden Top in Eyelet. I love eyelet in the summer. It's feminine and playful, and reminds me of dresses I had as a child.

10. American Eagle, Go Big Oversized Shirt. I love this shirt. It's so versatile. It could be worn as a swimsuit cover-up, a light jacket on a breezy summer evening or as an updated button up with jeans, slacks or skirts. The fabric is very soft, and has a relaxed, very oversized fit.

11. Amazon Essentials, Lightweight Crewneck Cardigan Sweater. I have this sweater in 4 different colors. I love that it's lightweight, but keeps me warm on cooler spring days.

12. Boden, High Rise Super Flare Jeans. The flare on these jeans is the perfect 70's flare, but updated. They'd look great dressed up or down.

13.Boden, Straight Denim Midi Skirt. I love this skirt. I'm really into the midi length lately and the front slit is a fun addition.

14. Old Navy, High Waisted Wide Leg Linen Blend Pants (Flax Linen, Black) - Wearing linen pants in the summer isn't a new thing, but it's definitely a stylish thing to do.

15. Levi's, Wedgie Fit Ankle Jeans. Classic jeans that I saw all over Paris.

16. Levi's, Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans. I love white jeans. I wear them all year round, but in the summer, they are *chef's kiss*

17. Alohas, Rollers. If you decide to wear heels while in Paris, make sure they are platform with a wider heel. You'll want something that can easily traverse over cobblestone streets. These shoes would pair perfectly with the Boden Super Flare Jeans.

18. Veja, Esplar. You can't go wrong with a classic white leather shoe.

19. Amazon Essential, Two Strap Buckle Sandal. I buy these shoes every year. It's a simple design that goes with all my summer outfits. Usually I get the brown, camel color, but this year, I'm opting for gold.

20. Birkenstock, Arizona Big Buckle. I wore these shoes about half time I was in Paris. They were comfortable and cool enough to wear while walking all over the city.

21. Adidas, Gazelle. Classic Adidas are always in style. They look good with jeans and dressier trousers.

22. Amazon, French Market Basket. This is a great bag to carry while going shopping or going on a picnic. It carries a lot and looks so stylish.

23. Clare V, Petit Moyen. I love the texture, color and size of this bag. It's on my short list of items to purchase.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas 2023

Mother's Day is in a week so I wanted to share a few items that I am loving right now.

1. Farm Girl Flowers - classic Mother's Day gift! You can't go wrong with this gorgeous bouquet of flowers. This company is local to me and has the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen. I have purchased many bouquets through Farm Girl Flowers and each recipient absolutely LOVES them.

2. Violette_FR - I recently purchased a set with these two items and I am in love with them. This is a French makeup brand that you should all be checking out.

3. Made by Mary - You will love this modern take on birthstone rings. They are delicate and elevate any style. I have 3 for my boys and I seriously can't stop staring at my hands when I'm wearing them.

4. Phlur, Missing Person - If you want to turn heads and have absolute strangers stop you in the street to tell you smell amazing, then you NEED to get this perfume. It 's delicate scent of white musk and floral that you will love to wear everyday.

5. Dyptique - beautifully scented with a designer aesthetic, these candles are definitely a staple in any home. I love the Baies scent and currently am burning the Paris City Collection.

6. Joie by Ajiri Aki - This book is on my wishlist. If you want to experience the joie de vivre of Paris, I suggest this book.

7. Le Scarf - Another purchase I am considering. Any French outfit isn't complete without the addition of a beautiful scarf. This scarf is a classic, silk beauty.

8. Sakroots, The Sak - Honestly, I just discovered this bag and haven't stopped thinking about it. I love the size, shape and details of this bag. This is another wishlist item for me.
