French skincare is renowned for its emphasis on natural ingredients and gentle yet effective formulas. French women prioritize their skincare routine over makeup, recognizing that healthy, radiant skin is the foundation of any beauty look. From cleansing to moisturizing, French skincare rituals are focused on nourishing and protecting the skin, rather than masking imperfections with heavy makeup. French brands like La Roche-Posay, Caudalie, and Avène offer a range of products designed to address specific skin concerns, from anti-aging to acne-prone skin.
Caudalie Vinoclean Instant Foaming Cleanser is gentle, yet effective. It removes all traces of my eye makeup but doesn't strip my skin of its natural oils. I've found that it's also rosacea friendly. This cleanser does not aggravate my skin. I combine this cleanser with one pump of their Gentle Cleansing Almond Milk. The combination is great for me.I've used this combo for almost an entire year now and I can say with certainty that I LOVE them.
Once I've washed my face I then apply their S.O.S. Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum. It helps to keep moisture in my dehydrated skin. After the hyaluronic acid, I apply Embryolisse Lait Crème Sensitive. This gentle cream does wonders. It's hydrating but not greasy. I wake up and my skin looks refreshed and plump. I know that some people like to wear this as a makeup primer, but I don't wear a lot of makeup, so I choose to use this as a night cream.
Now I do have to comment on the smell. It doesn't have a fragrance per se, as in perfume. But it definitely has a smell. I wasn't too fond of it and really thought that I would stop using it because the smell was unpleasant to me. I quickly got over it, and don't notice it anymore. I feel like the benefits outweigh the light non-fragrance, fragrance.
During my summer trip I purchased a bottle of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. This is a dry body oil that smells divine! You can use this on your hair, face and body. I've used it on my face with a gua sha, but I don't think I'd use it there otherwise. It's a little too greasy for my face. I do use it in my hair and on my body. I use one pump for the ends of my hair. It helps with the dry ends and makes my hair smell nice. For my body, I'm 50/50. I like it on top of my already applied body lotion as it gives me an extra moisture boost. I don't like it alone. My skin is too dry for just this oil.
